Valentine’s Day Romance Novels Haul

Love to Hate You by Jo Watson: Sera is usually a good girl. (Except for one wild night in the backseat of a stranger’s car!) But what happens when that bad boy turns out to be her new boss?” Now that I’m reading this blurb I’m not so sure if I’ll enjoy this book… Based on the title I had an impression that this will be about a hate-to-love relationship. I’m slightly put off by the usage of ‘good girl’ in the blurb. Ah, what was I thinking when I bought it… Dirty Like Me by Jaine Diamond is a romance between a barista and a rockstar, where Katie wins a role in a new music video of a hot music star. The Proposal by Jasmine Guillory is author’s second book, and after great The Wedding Date my expectations are high for this novel. This story is about a very public proposal that didn’t turn into a happy ending.

I bought two books from Lauren Layne series 21 Wall Street – Hot Asset and Hard Sell.

First book story is described as “A sexy agent hounds Wall Street’s hottest new wolf”, a FBI agent Lara, a rising star in fighting white-collar crime, investigates Wall Street hotshot for insider trading. The second book is about “boy wonder”, a filthy rich youngest broker on Wall Street and PR specialist that tries to fix his career after a scandal. And the last book I bought is The Billionaire’s Wake-up-call Girl by Annika Martin. I’m bit confused by the synopsis for this, it’s about woman that is assigned to find a new wake-up call company for company’s CEO, and because she cannot find any that will take up this job, she starts making those call herself. Like… why are they multiple wake-up call companies? What happened to alarms? I’m confused.

Three books I’m considering buying are: Intercepted by Alexa Martin, Act Like It by Lucy Parker and Roomies by Christina Lauren. Those three books I did NOT yet buy, but I’m really tempted. Have you read any of them? What do you think?

I haven’t read any of those books (I’m not usually into contemporary romance, more of a regency romance reader myself), however, I did get a chance to read the upcoming Unbreak Me by Michelle Hazen and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who loves romance novels.

Just thought I’d get it on your radar, since you read romance, too! I hope you enjoy the books you listed above, though!
