BOOK TRAVELING THURSDAY: Book by one of my favorite authors

It’s Book Traveling Thursday! It is a weekly meme hosted by Catia and Danielle. At the beginning of each month, they post a list of weekly themes. After choosing a book that fits the theme, you look at different covers of various editions and write your blog post with the original cover, the covers from your country, your favourite cover, and your least favourite cover. To find out more check out Goodreads group!

This week’s theme is: Today you have the choice. Go back to the previous themes and choose the one you want to. So I had a look at the previous themes for BTT and decided on a theme from August 2015 – Choose a book by one of your favorite authors.  One of my favourite authors is J.K. Rowling. I love her book The Casual Vacancy. I featured it in my list of All Time Favourite Contemporary Books.

TOP TEN TUESDAY: Books On My Fall TBR List

This weekly meme was created by The Broke and the Bookish. Today’s theme is  Books On My Fall TBR List.

I never create a TBR list of books that I’ll read next month or something. I just have this huge list of books I hope I’ll get to eventually. But this list represents books I just need to read. Right now I just feel that I desperately need them in my life. I will see how life will go on and how I will feel about what to read next in next weeks. There is no guarantee that I will read any of those books.

“Are you happy with your life?” Those are the last words Jason Dessen hears before the masked abductor knocks him unconscious. Before he awakens to find himself strapped to a gurney, surrounded by strangers in hazmat suits. Before a man Jason’s never met smiles down at him and says, “Welcome back, my friend.”

In this world he’s woken up to, Jason’s life is not the one he knows. His wife is not his wife. His son was never born. And Jason is not an ordinary college physics professor but a celebrated genius who has achieved something remarkable–something impossible.

Is it this world or the other that’s the dream? And even if the home he remembers is real, how can Jason possibly make it back to the family he loves? The answers lie in a journey more wondrous and horrifying than anything he could’ve imagined—one that will force him to confront the darkest parts of himself even as he battles a terrifying, seemingly unbeatable foe.

Summary:

A world at stake.
A quest for the ultimate prize.
Are you ready?

It’s the year 2044, and—like most of humanity—Wade Watts vastly prefers the online utopia known as the OASIS to an increasingly grim, poverty-stricken real world. Like most of humanity, Wade dreams of being the one to discover the ultimate lottery ticket that lies concealed within this virtual reality. Somewhere inside the OASIS, it’s rumored, are hidden a series of fiendish puzzles that will yield massive fortune—and remarkable power—to whoever can unlock them. For years, millions have struggled fruitlessly to attain this prize, knowing only that the riddles are based in the culture of the late 20th century.

And then Wade stumbles upon the first puzzle. Suddenly, he finds himself pitted against thousands of competitors in a desperate race to claim the ultimate prize, a chase that soon takes on terrifying real-world dimensions—and that will leave both Wade and his world profoundly changed.

BOOK TRAVELING THURSDAY: Book that should be a classic in few years

This week’s theme is: Choose a book that you think it should be a classic in a few years. My first choice for this theme is a book I already featured in BTT – A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. My second choice is Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. It is hard for me to express my love for this book. It is just beautiful and thrilling story, story like no other.
