Overview of international covers of book Last of the Wilds by Trudi Canavan

It’s Book Traveling Thursday! It is a weekly meme hosted by Catia and Danielle. At the beginning of each month, they post a list of weekly themes. After choosing a book that fits the theme, you look at different covers of various editions and write your blog post with the original cover, the covers from your country, your favourite cover, and your least favourite cover. To find out more check out Goodreads group!

This week’s theme is the Favourite sequel. Because some sequels are better than the first book, choose your favourite sequel. Book I have chosen for this theme is Last of the Wilds from series Age of the Five by Trudi Canavan. I read this series a long time ago, but I still get this pleasant feeling of remembering about all the fun you had reading a book.

After pitched battle, The White—the avatars of the Five Gods—have briefly turned back the vicious invaders. And now, the priestess Auraya is sent on an urgent mission to reconcile with the powerful, outcast Dreamweavers, for their magical healing abilities may be the key to saving the land. But as a deadly plague devastates their allies and old adversaries resurface, a dreadful surprise may ruin the chance for peace. For Auraya’s terrible discovery will force her into a desperate choice—one whose consequences will change the world forever.

Check out his book on Goodreads and buy it on Amazon

– Original Cover –

English AU, published 2006 by Voyager – AU

I’m always put off by such covers and that is a shame because I am probably missing on so many amazing fantasy novels.

– Cover from my country – Poland –

Polish, published 2009 by Galeria Książki

I like the polish cover of the book; it is just slightly different from the later editions of the book with updated cover.

– Favourite Cover –

– Least Favourite Cover –

It was tough to narrow down my choices for least favourite cover. But I decided on the Indonesian one which is odd, and there is too much happening, Czech one because this photo is so disturbing, pictures of real people do not work on a fantasy book covers.

Which cover of Last of the Wilds do you like best? Have you read this series?
